This collection comprises 979 pieces, some of which were donated by private individuals and some of which were purchased by the local council. Work began on building the collection in the 1980s and it now consists of a large variety of objects and materials, including: a traditional kitchen collection, comprising day-to-day utensils, such as platters and pans in copper and wire; farm tools; items connected to fishing; items connected to the footwear industry; and a set of rag dolls made by the artisan Filipa Faísca, among others.
